Our Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta PUEB-GSU cohort has arrived in Atlanta, and the first day set the tone for the entire program.
Morning – Georgia State University, our amazing Partner University since 1995 and Downtown Campus:
We began with a guided tour of the GSU Downtown Campus, visiting Georgia State University – J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University College of Law, and the Creative Media Industries Institute. What stayed with us was how naturally the university is woven into the fabric of a major American city – a campus without walls, where academic life and the downtown business district share the same streets.
Our sincere thanks to Cuneyt Evirgen, Senior Academic Professional at the Institute of International Business, for the warm Welcome to Campus and for an inspiring introduction to how international business is taught and researched at GSU.
A special thank you to Shelley D. Nelson for the outstanding organization of the visit. Every detail was thought through, and it made a real difference to the experience of our group.
Afternoon – Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta:
The second part of the day took us to the FED Atlanta – an excellent opportunity to look behind the scenes of the U.S. economy. We explored the structure and mandate of the Federal Reserve System, the mechanics of monetary policy decisions, and the monetary history that shaped today’s institutions. For a group of executives working with capital, risk, and macroeconomic uncertainty every day, few lessons could be more relevant.
Day 1 done.
