At Glance

Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta started 29 years ago. Cooperation with Georgia State University allowed the possibility to invite lecturers from across the ocean to visit and share their knowledge and experience.

At the moment, all courses and workshops are carried out 100% in English. Furthermore, the faculty consists of Polish and international lecturers both from the academic and business environments. Thanks to all this, each year, Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta attracts more and more international students from all over the globe.

One of the main goals of Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta Program is to empower you with team-based projects with emphasis on giving and accepting feedback and feedforward. We encourage healthy debates which allow to form a community that thrives on collaboration and a drive for excellence.

During the 2-year program, students have an opportunity to choose 8 courses in total from the elective list – short elective courses (for I and II year students of MBA Poznań-Atlanta and open for Graduates) and long elective courses (during II year).

Final Managerial Project

The aim of final (managerial) project is to integrate the knowledge and skills obtained and developed during the studies in the Poznań-Atlanta Executive MBA Program along with the experience of particular Executive MBA candidate.

The Final Project Should:

In the course of the Project writing process, candidates should expose themselves to the newest literature (including refereed journals and working paper series) and thus strengthen their expertise and skills acquired during their EMBA Program. Since all EMBA candidates graduate from universities, actively work and have extensive job experience, they have gathered substantial skills in time management. They are also able to organize the research stage and project preparation themselves. In this, they are supported by their individual tutors who supervise the project.

As a result of undertaking and completing the Project, students ought to be able to:

define and refine the project in terms of its aims and goals and logic structure

choose, develop an adequate methodology of the project

collect and process adequate data for the project and interpret the findings

write down the project

How we Teach

You will experience a wide variety of teaching styles and methods, including case studies, computer simulation game, role-playing, short videos, team presentations, debates and lectures. These are designed to maximize your learning experience.

PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING

Executive MBA Poznań-Atlanta encourages students to learn in any possible environment, not only from the lecturers but also from their fellow students. We emphasize the importance of informal learning context: not only acquiring knowledge but also exchanging experiences with your cohort, alumni and lecturers. The value of peer-to-peer learning is further built up by the diversity of the faculty and the cohort itself. It gives an unprecedented possibility to discover different business approaches that compel you to look closely at your own business practices.

CASE STUDIES

Provided case studies are often based on real-world business situations. You will work in a team to make an optimal decision while dealing with incomplete information and conflicting data. In some cases, you will need to work under time pressure, as it often occurs in reality. It aims to enhance your skills in critical-thinking, information selection and strategy.

SIMULATION GAME

Your knowledge will be tested at a new level with Strategic Simulation Game where you will verify and improve your executive skills in a realistic test setting, combined with time pressure and operating external forces. The game exemplifies how different parts of business fit together while allowing you to sharpen your business judgment.

COACHING/ MENTORING

Faculty’s goal is to use the knowledge shared with a cohort as a stimulus for an active debate where students share their knowledge and experience with their peers. They guide you so that you can develop yours business and interpersonal skills.

Our curriculum is focused on teamwork as we believe it gives the best platform for peer-to-peer learning. It allows you to exchange experiences and knowledge within your small teams.
